The Lady Mechanic Initiative is a non profit organisation set up to empower deprived young girls to train in a sector that was once less attractive to women and seen as male dominated. The initiator of the programme, Sandra Aguebor is a young woman of immense potentials who took on the challenge of training as a mechanic. She has not only excelled as a mechanic with unique standards, she has gone ahead to train girls to be mechanics. The Lady Mechanic Initiative is forging ahead with a unique programme to register, rehabilitate, train and empower new trainees in an excellent three year programme that will have more women in the auto mechanic profession.

ABOUT LMI

LMI was founded in Nigeria by a young Lady of immense potentials, Sandra Aguebor- Ekperuoh, who became a Young Lady Mechanic at the age of 14 years. She set up the organisation to promote a sustainable positive change in the socioeconomic circumstances, by recruiting, training and empowering poor and vulnerable members of the society. Read more
