Starting from the first day I came into LMI, I was asking myself if I could cope, but fortunately, when I mixed with the other ladies, I was free. I have the boldness, hope, courage and confidence that I can do it and then I see myself doing it. LMI has really changed my life for the better. Thanks to God and LMI.

Since I joined the Lady Mechanic Initiative I no longer see myself as a mechanic but as a technician, because as a technician, I have been exposed to many things. I now have an idea on electrical and I can also diagnose a car. My knowledge on cars has really been broadened.

LMI has made me to do what most girls and men can’t do. It has also made me stand out among other girls. The initiative has turned my life around both academically and technically. It has made me proud. Million thanks to LMI.

“I am here to share my experience and my gain since I joined. I have been exposed to so many things like travelling; I have also been lucky to see how the Peugeot cars are assembled, in which I spent three months there where I learnt the theoretical and practical part of the training in Kaduna. I am also one of the beneficiaries of MTN Foundation. I have gained a lot of things and I know this is just the beginning of LMI; we are moving forward. Ilsha Allah.”
